Two weeks riding around southern England I have in-laws that live in England and in 2002 I rode from one brother-in-law's house near Heathrow (in the town of Beaconsfield) to a sister-in-law's house in Cambridge. I followed a flattened oval route that went as far west as the Welsh border and as far east as Norfolk.

I carried no camping or cooking gear and stayed with friends or in B&Bs every night. I borrowed a bike which wasn't quite up to the task and had several broken spokes during the tour. The tour was about 575 miles. Return to Main Menu
