Rolling down the Rivers -
9 days from Lake Erie to Washington's Crossing I have in-laws in Lambertville and have ridden there from the south and going north. On my way to the UK, I decided I could get in a short bike tour and use this opportunity to ride to Lambertville from the west.

I had no idea where to start and began looking at the Pennsylvania bike routes. Since I would be flying from San Francisco, I wanted to start in a place with a large airport. My first choice was Cleveland, but after various discussion threads on the topic, I decided on Rochester, NY as my starting place.

Like Pennsylvania, New York offers several State bike routes, as well. I discovered one route followed the Erie Canal out of Rochester and another went along the Susquehanna River, New York's southern border. Between these two are the Finger Lakes. I decided to combine all three in a route across New York.

Lambertville is on the Delaware River (the border between Pennsylvania and New Jersey) just north of Washington's Crossing, a famous Revolutionary War monument. After crossing New York, I rode down the Delaware River, ending my tour at Lambertville.

I created a Tour Plan with all the details I used to plan this tour, including my proposed itinerary, links to route maps, websites, and places to stay.

I also mapped my actual route using TrackMyTour.
