Devil's Slide is a bit of Highway 1 connecting Pacifica to Montera just south of San Francisco. It is a narrow, uphill, winding, busy, shoulderless road with a steep drop to the ocean. It is unsafe to ride.

There is construction underway to replace this bit of road with a tunnel that is supposed to have a bike lane.

Until then, you can take Samtrans Bus 294 from the Linda Mar Shopping Center in Pacifica to Montera, neatly bypassing Devil's Slide.
