The MyCycleTour.com website creates and stores bike touring routes using Google's mapping interface. You select a starting and ending point and the system creates a route between them and also an elevation chart and a difficulty rating. You can drag the route around to change it and investigate how that affects elevation and difficulty rating.

The site requires a free registration for use.

This is a slick looking site that offers some nice mapping features and allows for the addition of photos to the route page should the route actually be ridden.
