This video from cyclingabout.com discusses the aerodynamic effects of different bike touring/packing set-ups. Alee, the presenter, covers the theory of wind resistance, his own past attempts to measure it, and different ways to carry gear and their effect on aerodynamics. It is an excellent presentation. Some of his conclusions are that bikepacking bags are more efficient than panniers, tight fitting biking clothes are better than t-shirts, and fenders can make a bike more efficient. |
